Video of Heather Rose and Nick Cave on the track “Basket Case” (from the new album) has gone viral on YouTube, becoming the fourth track on the album.
The video, posted to her Facebook page on Wednesday (February 17), has over 17 million views as of Wednesday afternoon.
The clip is shot in front of a church in rural South Carolina, and the caption reads, “We all went to church today, and I got to watch you.”
Watch Heather Rose in action on the new Heather Rose album: “Bucket” from ‘Basket case’ is one of Heather’s most well-known songs.
It’s also one of her most controversial tracks.
“The word ‘basket’ means a big box, and that’s the reason it’s called a basket case,” she explained during a Reddit AMA in April 2017.
“It’s a box full of things that you can’t open, and then you open it and you get something inside.
I just don’t like that word.
I mean, it’s the most negative word in the dictionary.
It makes me sick.
But I’m a big fan of that word, because I feel like that’s what it means.
I’m trying to make a good album out of it.”
The album, which was released on February 19, is her first full-length since her 2013 debut album, The Colour and the Shape, and features collaborations with her former bandmate Jonny Greenwood.
