Gore’s film “The Perfect Storm” has been used to teach women how to be more responsible with their own sexual relationships, according to a new video that was released by a feminist group.
The video shows a scene from the 1992 film in which a married couple has sex in a motel room while a camera crew is filming, followed by a voiceover stating that a marriage can be “a great opportunity to kill yourself” if it doesn’t respect women’s boundaries.
“It’s not just a marriage that should go ahead, it’s a marriage for all people,” says one of the men in the film.
“And that’s what the Perfect Storm is about,” the narrator continues, and the group’s director says, “This is a call for all women to take a look at the way they live their lives and what we call our boundaries.”
The video is part of a series by the Women Against Feminism group that aims to raise awareness about what they call the “perfect storm” of sexism in Western society, including the increasing number of cases of domestic violence, sexual assault, and discrimination against women.
The group says it’s concerned that many women don’t feel empowered to say no to the men they’re dating because they’re afraid of being called a slut or a slutty bitch.
The group says the Perfect War film is a “perfect example” of the “double standard” women face when it comes to their relationships.
“We’re saying ‘We can’t believe this guy’s been married before, but let’s not let him get married because he’s been dating someone for five years.
We don’t want to hear about his problems with his wife, we don’t think that’s a fair representation of what women face, so we’re trying to change that by showing this video to women who might be thinking about marrying someone, and it’s very effective.”
The Women Against Feministism video, titled “What Women Want,” was released on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2017.
